In Nordic folklore, the Huldra is a hidden woman; half tree, half human, her name born of a word meaning “covered.” Using the Huldra as iconography, the series embodies this meeting point: both human and elemental, tender and untamed. It reflects the exchange between body and land — how the landscape leaves its mark upon us, and how we, in turn, inscribe ourselves upon it.
